Snoring and Sleep Apnea go hand in hand. Snoring can cause sleep apnea by obstructing the back of the throat. Luckily! Pacific Dental Center can help fit you with mouth guards and anti-snoring devices that will decrease sleep apnea, or stop it depending on the severity.
Sleep Apnea can cause many health risks depending on the type and how many occurrences. Sleep apnea is a cycle that repeats itself throughout the night and can occur anywhere between five to thirty times per hour.
Not getting enough sleep can cause headaches, irritability, drained energy, anxiety, and more. If snoring is something that is keeping you from sleeping let us at Pacific Dental Center help you to get a better night’s sleep.
Pacific Dental Center can fit you with a mouth guard or tongue device.
Mandibular Advancement Devices (MAD) - A mouth guard takes the bottom of your jaw and moves it forward when you sleep. This prevents the jaw from sliding backward and closing your throat.
Tongue Stabilizer Devices (TSD) - Tongue stabilizers suction the tongue to the front of the mouth, preventing it from falling back into the throat to block the airway.
Because every set of teeth is unique, here at Pacific Dental Center we can take a perfect mold of your teeth and make a mouth guard that will be comfortable and easy to sleep in. There are many mouth guards that can be sold over the counter that don’t contour your set of teeth the correct way. Other over the counter mouth guards give you the option to form the guard to your teeth, but this can actually begin to misalign teeth without being properly molded.
Dr. Snow can assess your symptoms and determine which method of anti-snoring devices would work best for you. Schedule an appointment with Pacific Dental Center to stop your snoring and sleep apnea.
We utilize CEREC® to provide our patients with same day restorative care. This saves time, money, and hassle by eliminating the need for multiple visits and temporary fillers.
Dr. Snow will remove the damaged section of your tooth, then take a three dimensional image of your tooth with the CEREC camera. The data transfers to a computer, from where we can design the filling or crown to be milled out of a ceramic block.
We use ceramic because it has proven to be durable and long-lasting. It also matches the color of teeth, providing you with a healthy, attractive smile.
