If you are missing a tooth or multiple teeth, you know the feeling of how it could affect your smile, eating habits, speech, and confidence. Missing teeth can easily become infected causing additional oral health problems such as, shifting teeth, bone loss, and general systemic problems including cardiac diseases. Once a tooth is either extracted or lost the jawbone deteriorates causing the jaw to shrink over time, called atrophy. Once bone loss has taken place you may not be a candidate for dental implants. Other treatments can still replace missing teeth, and other options can be discussed. By scheduling a consultation, Dr. Snow can evaluate your jawbone structure to determine whether you would be a good candidate for dental implants.
Dental implants use titanium fixtures that are placed into the jawbone. The titanium anchor fuses itself to the bone for a permanent dental implant. After the anchor is placed and the healing process starts the titanium fusing takes place (osseointegration), and then Dr. Snow will determine when the crown, partial, or bridge will be added to the anchor - usually three to six months. After the implant has healed the artificial crown is secured to match the surrounding teeth and complete your smile.
Dental implants can be utilized to replace a single tooth, several teeth or all teeth. There are two types of dental implant procedures, depending on the jawbone, that can be performed.
Healthy Smile – If you have severely chipped, broken, or missing teeth, dental implants can improve your oral health by allowing you to maintain regular dental care in your home.
Confident Smile – You get your smile back! Nothing is more satisfying than grinning from ear to ear knowing you’re showing off your pearly whites!
Convenient Smile – Implants are a permanent solution to your smile so you never have to worry about them falling out, getting loose, or getting infected. Once the implant is placed you get regular eating habits and dental hygiene care back.

We utilize CEREC® to provide our patients with same day restorative care. This saves time, money, and hassle by eliminating the need for multiple visits and temporary fillers.
Dr. Snow will remove the damaged section of your tooth, then take a three dimensional image of your tooth with the CEREC camera. The data transfers to a computer, from where we can design the filling or crown to be milled out of a ceramic block.
We use ceramic because it has proven to be durable and long-lasting. It also matches the color of teeth, providing you with a healthy, attractive smile.
